A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our first Brazilian Guitar Masters Festival this past weekend!
On Friday, Yamandu Costa took us on an emotional journey with an amazingly varied solo 7-string guitar performance. Audience members called his music “transcendent,” “virtuosic,” “human,” and “accessible.”
We had an intimate pre-show engagement Q&A with guitar students of Levine Music, with whom Yamandu talked about his story and approach to playing music. The conversation was moderated by our executive director Pablo de Oliveira and Levine guitar faculty Ben Gascon.
