Our first Sarau de Samba at Glen Echo Park yesterday was incredible! Thanks to everyone who came and brought their energy to sing, dance, and celebrate with us.
We started the event with a quick dance lesson taught by Ilheuma Zezeh and then launched into song. A highlight was when everyone sang “Carinhoso” together, a nostalgic Brazilian classic! We ended the afternoon with a rousing set of faster carnival-style songs that had everyone dancing. See the highlights in the video below.
It was great to see so many people there—both familiar faces and new ones. Our saraus are family-friendly and welcoming to everyone!
