Learn from and jam with Brazilian samba master percussionist André Coelho from Rio de Janeiro. André will show and demonstrate each of the essential Brazilian percussion instruments. Participants will learn basic rhythms and the event will finish with a jam session. Also come early for our dance workshop with Zezeh immediately before the percussion ensemble!

We will have some percussion instruments, like pandeiros, tamborins, and surdos for participants. But please bring your instrument if you have one.

This is a regularly occurring Brazilian percussion meetup. All levels are welcome to participate.

This event is free and open to the public. While primarily intended for adults, everyone is welcome. Please note that this workshop will be held at Old Parish House of College Park at 4711 Knox Road.
