Pablo Regis and the Samba For All Dance Party brought the Brazilian carnival spirit to The Clarice’s NextNOW Fest at the University of Maryland.

Vanessa Da Mata at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring, MD. Latin Grammy Award winner Vanessa Da Mata is a Brazilian singer and songwriter from Mato Grosso, Brazil. Her musical style is a mix of Brazilian popular music (MPB), samba, pop, reggae, and R&B.

Brazil Carnaval Passion: Passport to the World Festival at the Creative Cauldron: A beautiful evening of music and dancing with performances by singers Kenia and Cissa Paz and dancers Michelle Clark, Aquiles Holladay, Gustavo Abath, and Dee Hale.

We got down at Anne Arundel Community College’s World Music & Dance Series performance by Pablo Regis & Forrobodó, which started with a forró dance lesson led by Cody Vargas and Kate Spanos.
